Context:
I was watching Hyourinjutsu's MUI Goku vs UE Vegeta video yesterday, and there was a part in the fight where Goku powered down from MUI to Omen, created a Spirit Bomb, and absorbed it. Vegeta, figuring out what Goku was doing, said that Goku needed to go into Omen to create the Spirit Bomb instead of MUI because in order to use MUI, the user must have no emotions, and emotions are required to use the Spirit Bomb.
Argument: I thought this was a very interesting theory that Hyourinjutsu proposed, and it really got me thinking. However, I personally think that he is wrong about this and that Goku should be able to use the Spirit Bomb in MUI. When you really think about it, when using MUI, you technically are "pure of heart", just in a different sense. You're purely reacting off of instinct and letting no emotions, positive or negative, cloud your mind so you could focus clearly on the battle. Now, as for Omen I feel like it's kind of a stretch, because the user can still be affected by their emotions in that state even though they are still applying the principles of UI. That's how TUI came about after all, because Goku let his emotions influence him while using the principles of UI, but not becoming fully immersed in them. In conclusion I think it is possible for Goku to use the Spirit Bomb in MUI, because he is technically "pure of heart" as in there is no emotional turmoil affecting him, but he can't in Omen or in TUI because he's either susceptible to his emotions and/or he's being influenced by them.
