I was watching Carthu's video about god ki and it reminded me of how the Super Saiyan Grades, specifically 4, were similarly made irrelevant.
Which then made me think, how many of the canon Super Saiyan's have actually mastered the form?
Like I mentioned, the SSJ Grades being phased out makes this mostly based on assumptions but thats what makes this fun so yeah
Ok getting the obvious out of the way (No fusions btw)
Goku - Yes (Confirmed)
Gohan - Yes (Confirmed)
Duh
Vegeta - Yes (Yes)
Obviously he has
Future Trunks - Yes (100% sure)
The daizenshuu literally says he uses it against Cell, plus there's no reason he wouldn't attempt to obtain the form and he absolutely could, so the real debate here is when he got it.
I believe it was before he killed Future 17 & 18, he clearly was using regular SSJ in that fight and considering Grade 2 is never mentioned to have a speed decrease there's no reason why he wouldn't use that, plus an increased stamina drain wouldn't mean anything since he ended that fight in like 20 seconds.
Now on the other hand of the obvious ones.
Future Gohan - No (100% Sure)
Why wouldn't he tell trunks it is he stupid
Future Goku - No (Confirmed)

Future Vegeta - No (Confirmed)

Yamoshi - No (100% Sure)

Now with them out of the way, we move into the speculation.
Broly (Super) - Yes (50/50)
He was able to control his wrath SS form in the manga which I'm willing to count here, his forms are so much different that he might not even have the graded stuff so we can't really tell
Caulifla (Anime) - Yes (Fairly Confident)
In the anime, Caulifla is able to access Super Saiyan 1 and 2 fairly easily, with her second instance of 2 being very similar to how Goku and Gohan got the original Grade 4 form, straying away from the muscular forms n all that.
Caulifla (Manga) - No (Fairly Confident)
On the other hand, her manga counterpart very much did not master the form, she never goes past 1 and Kefla is weakened as a result of the fusees merging as Super Saiyans, wouldn't of happened if she mastered the form
Kale (Anime) - Yes (Fairly Confident)
Brolys segment basically but even more so because she has SS2 (maybe broly just sucks #nooticing)
Kale (Manga) - No (100% sure)
The strain of her form almost kills her and she doesn't control it so
Cabba - Maybe (50/50)
He absolutely had the time and skill to master the form between both tournaments, but him not mentioning the mastered form to Caulifla probably means he never did it.
On the other hand, he might have not had time to mention it to Caulifla so this can go either way.
Goten - Yes (Fairly Confident)
Trunks - Yes (Fairly Confident)
Super Gotenks' debut had the 2 fuse as Super Saiyans and no drawback was mentioned, plus they use SSJ very casually so yuh.
Goku Black - Yes (Confident)
Man idk. he learns fast so why not
Cell - Maybe??? (I dont know man)
Ok so like
Super Hero uses manga colours yet still shows Cell having the yellow aura
And he mimics grade 3
And Super Perfect is compared to SS2
So he's probably a super saiyan
I dont think he mastered it???????
