Namek Saga

Given his potential and the fact that Frieza blew up less planets than Kid Buu.

Logically speaking, the Ginyu Force members (sans Guldo) were merely between 40,000-50,000, the Zenkai boosts that Vegeta and Gohan obtained from the battle with Recoome should not have taken them to over 200,000 just so they'll be able to stand up against "first form" Frieza.

If Abo and Cado were invented by the time that the manga was released, they should have been used as a buffer between the Ginyu Force members and Captain Ginyu himself who would have been written twice as strong as he was (240,000 instead of 120,000) to make the heroes' power growth logical. Goku's power level is also doubled in this case (180,000 as base instead of 90,000 and 360,000 in Kaioken x2) and he faces Ginyu while Vegeta (110,000), Gohan (70,000) and Krillin (24,000) take care of Aka, whom 'was' called to Namek along with the Ginyu Force.

Even if Abo and Cado are just at 40,000 each, to keep in line with their stated rank, their fusion should be at 160,000 to make the growth of Vegeta and Gohan more likely.

For those who don't know, there were three Frieza Force Soldiers who were killed on Namek, but who weren't killed by Vegeta or the heroes. Those soldiers were Cranberry, Orlen and Namole.

Cranberry died after he was blasted back by a Namekian before Zarbon delivered the killing blow by kicking him away.

Orlen was killed by Frieza due to failing to complete his mission (getting information regarding where Vegeta may have hidden his Namekian Dragon Ball).

Namole was killed for showing fear in Frieza's presence (although the Blue Water Dub changes the reason to him questioning Frieza's orders regarding if the Ginyu Force are needed).

All three were revived by Mr. Popo's wish to Shenron ("bring back everyone killed by Frieza and his men"), but Cranberry is the only one we got any further details on; him stealing one of the Ginyu Pods to escape Namek and becoming a thief before he was arrested; later becoming a lackey to Moro.

Orlen and Namole's fates, however, are left unexplained. So, what do you think happened to them both?

- Did they escape Namek in two of the remaining four Ginyu Pods and just rejoin the Frieza Force like nothing happened?

- Did they escape Namek and, like Cranberry, set off to do their own thing?

- Did they settle on Earth after Dende wished for Porunga to send everyone on Namek to Earth except Goku and Frieza?

- Did they do something else entirely?

A What-if idea suggested to me by @Jubyhgbbnb some time back, and which I've decided to ask you guys about after doing a similar thread back in December 2023 about the events of "Tree of Might" taking place in the Vegeta Saga.

- In this version of the "Lord Slug" movie (which originally took place on Earth but with its timeline placed after the Ginyu Force had been defeated), the events are instead moved to the earlier Namek Saga and with Lord Slug launching an attack on Planet Namek instead of Earth; seeking to reclaim his original homeworld (possibly Terra-freezing it before turning the planet into a new Cruiser) and use a wish to Porunga to gain Eternal Youth.

- As can be expected, however, his invasion of the planet coincides not only with Gohan, Krillin and Bulma's efforts to locate the Namekian Dragon Balls in order to revive their friends on Earth (while also getting their Dragon Balls back via reviving Piccolo and Kami) as well as Vegeta's own attempts to use them to attain immortality, but also coincides with the invasion of the Frieza Force - with Lord Frieza leading the charge as the tyrannical ruler seeks to use the Namekian Dragon Balls to gain immortality himself.

- So, we now have two evil rulers (Lord Frieza and Lord Slug), their strongest minions (Frieza's Elite and Lord Slug's Demon Clan) and an army of soldiers (the Frieza Force and the Slug-jin Soldiers) going at it while a lone Saiyan and the rag-tag group of Earthlings try to claim victory from under their noses.

With all that said, what changes do you think this will make in the Namek Saga - from the initial skirmishes to the arrival of the Ginyu Force and Goku, to how things will alter if Lord Slug gets his wish (as King Kai believed Slug's power in his prime outmatched Frieza and Goku's Pseudo Super Saiyan form) and ultimately who/what will survive at the end of it all?

Curious to see what you guys think regarding how this alternate version of the Namek Sagas will play out.

I like him enough to be top 10.... but he got done dirty

9: Dende

Flew around, Healed People, Died...but quite a nice little Namekian

8: Gohan AND Krillin

Both are tied for 8th....neither are my favorite, but both were quite good on Namek... Krillin making Recoome do some serious damage to his teeth by kicking his head during Recoome's Eraser Gun and then cutting off part of Frieza's Tail... Gohan put some damage on 2nd Form Frieza and both of them Bullied Dodoria.

7: Grand Elder Guru

Guru died of stress... but before that, he gave Krillin, Gohan, and Dende a much-needed boost... He's just one cool dude

6: Zarbon and Dodoria

Zarbon Almost killed Vegeta... and he has some busted moves in DBX2

Dodoria murdered some Namekians in a cool way.

I just LIKE them more than the others before them on this list

5: Nail

What a W Namekian... dared to stand up against Frieza and managed to stall for enough time for Gohan, Krillin, and Dende to summon Porunga... then he was assimilated by Piccolo so he could go fight 2nd Form Frieza

4: Burter

Best Member of the Ginyu Force and the Fastest in the Universe... I just like him and find him a good character... Should have listened to Goku tho...

3: Piccolo

I already like Piccolo a lot... Piccolo fought 2nd Form Frieza about equally and survived 3rd Form Frieza's ruthless Death Beam Barrage.

2: Vegeta

Evil... but to the very end a True Saiyan Warrior... attempted to stop Frieza the best way he knew... by being selfish and making HIMSELF immortal... went through so much trouble just to be denied what he thought would stop Frieza... then died after challenging Frieza himself... one of the BEST Namek saga characters

1: Frieza

Mr. Archnemisis himself... the coolest DB Villain by far...

He doesn't put up with any crap and gets things done.

Probably got the Dragon Balls sooner if he just killed the village 1st then took the Dragon Balls... keeping 1 or 2 Namekians alive...

But he is just the biggest W Namek had to offer...the BIGGEST Bad of the series
