Pretty sure RTZ only acted after the erasure. because if i remember correctly, when diavolo threw blood into his eyes nothing happened and when diavolo was about to deliver the final blow, thats when it kicked in. And diavolo needs to exit his time erase for the blow to connect cuz yk he cant interact inside of TE which is why i think RTZ only worked outside of TE
Nop
Ok i've reread the chapter and i've found a few issues with this
Diavolo seems to be in a state of bewilderment. So idk if we can take his words seriously here. How can we take them seriously if he himself is questioning reality? I mean heck he doesn't even know what he's looking at.
And even if we do listen to his words, it contradicts the ability of time erasure. No matter what happens, he cannot interact/attack inside of his TE. So if the TE was still active, why would diavolo try to interact inside of it? it doesn't make any sense at all and contradicts his very own ability
1. It's reality + you are implying Diavolo simply forgot about the limitations of his ability due to confusion. That's an extraordinary claim
2. It's not a contradiction: RTZ activated before Diavolo could deactivate his ability.
It's IC for Diavolo to start the attack in erased time.
When GER says its indeed reality, he's referring to the fact that Diavolo's vision (epitaph) is correct which is him impaling giorno. But the catch is that he will never arrive at the conclusion. He says it in the quote right below it: "YOUR ABILITY INDEED SEES WHAT WILL ACTUALLY OCCUR" which is referring to epitaph.
2. I don't think so. He has explicitly stated that its over and is preparing to connect the attack.
His fist is literally centimeters away from connecting. This is implying that everything is finished (hence the "IT'S OVER!" quote) and is ready to interact with giorno. If he isn't going to end it, then his fist is literally gonna go right past giorno.
1. Yesen't
Diavolo is surprised that someone moved within his erased time, and wonders if it's merely an illusion.
GER not only confirms that his vision is correct, but also that what is happening is real.
2. Yeah he was about to deactivate his ability as soon as his punch was about to hit Giorno but RTZ go brr
Also
It's not the first time this happens
1. Diavolo is surprised because he has no idea what is going on around him. Because of this, he thought that someone was able to invade his realm of erased time but was actually proven to be wrong instead.
2. Yeah Diavolo was about to end time erase but decided nah cuz he saw something happening to chariot. i dont see how this applies to GER as well. His one and only objective was to kill giorno. There weren't any obstacles nearby according to his vision which is why he just directly went for the kill. I don't see how that scan helps you when they are literally in different scenarios.
Especially when diavolo literally claims that it is over. Meaning that he is straight up going for the kill without anything halting him. Vision in epitaph confirms this unlike with chariot where he wasn't expecting the arrow to requiem itself
1.
Yesn't. The surprise mainly comes from the fact that someone is moving in his erased time
He was never proven wrong.
Your main claim is not enough to prove such extraordinary claim.
After all, you have to prove Diavolo suddently forgot about the limitations of his ability.
2. Except in this case RTZ prevented the ability to end.
As long as you don't debunk Diavolo's claim, you can't argue RTZ worked outside TE.
I tend to use this as a "High-Ball GER" and a "Low-Ball GER". GER in it's High-Ball activates automatically and within erased time. That's the most commonly believed GER. Low-Ball GER does not have automatic abilities, and cannot work in erased time.
However, the fact that Giorno is implied as to not have any idea of what's going on, and the fact that Diavolo specifically states that it's erased time should be counted.
So, for now, I would assume it's very acceptable to believe the High-Ball GER, especially considering he never showed up again and all we have of him is what we have. Further, his speed stat is Null, which is due to his speed being above the stat capabilities of the stand measurements. And that measurement can include infinity. This means that GER's speed, either physically, or ability-wise, has an activation speed beyond infinity, and infinity is essentially immediate. It's why Instant Transmission is an infinity speed. GER's activation speed is faster than instant, likely meaning it doesn't even require time.
Regardless of what the mass opinion is though, for the sake of argument, let's use high-ball GER, as that's the one that appears to be the best supported by the manga.
1. He was proven to be wrong as diavolo himself claims that its over and is literally preparing to deliver the final blow. Ok, lets just assume that time erase is still going on. If thats the case, then diavolo is just gonna punch right past him. You see how this contradicts the narrative? He HAS to end it before actually being able to interact with his opponents. If TE is still active like you are saying, how is his attack going to land?
2. He prevented the attack from connecting yes that is correct. If GER can function in erased time, then why didn't he do anything against the blood slash throw?
