I wouldn't be shocked if Vegeta taught Tarble to go Super Saiyan before he left following the events of The Return of Son Goku and Friends, just so Goku couldn't hold it over him regarding all the Saiyan-blooded members of Goku's family been able to turn Super Saiyan.

The way the series introduced Tarble just to completely ignore him was insane 😭. I swear Vegeta doesn't even care about him lol.

Yeah, that story could have been handled a lot better.

Heck, even MasakoX handled him somewhat better in his What if Nappa turned good? story; showing him as the leader of a group of surviving Saiyans (albeit mostly low-level Saiyans, non-combatants and half-Saiyans) and needing help to deal with a group of space pirates that were harassing their settlement.
