Krillin didn't have Gohan's potential, so when they had their potential unlocked by Guru, Gohan got a higher boost. It's the same concept. God Ki is just another realm of power to draw latent potential from. God Ki must be mastered, so it has some semblance of potential in it, leading to a higher power boost every time.

Nah man, nah. You're misunderstanding. This would be like saying SSJ Goku and SSJ Broly are the same level. That's all the user's issue. What we're saying is that Potential Awakening forms all do the same thing: they awaken potential. And we know that divine energy is included in that.

If DBS Goku had both UI and SSJ4, then both forms would be the same power, because both are Potential Awakening abilities. They awaken what Goku has hidden deep down. His latent potential. And due to Granolah and Daima SSJ4, we know that, included in Potential Awakenings, is divine energy. You don't have to have it to enjoy it's benefits in Potential Awakenings. Granolah literally had Hakai. He never learned it, he just had it, because his Potential was awakened. So we know, potential is potential. It doesn't differentiate what type of ki you're using. The only thing that separates the power of one potential awakening form from another is the user that's using it.

Granolah specifically wished to be the strongest.

And I still don't see SSJ4 being a potential unlock. You can easily interpret all of the dormant ability statements to be the same idea as the other super saiyan forms, like SSJ3 or 2 being an awakening of a saiyan's dormant abilities.

I see it that way, it's perfectly fine for you to see it another way, it's all down to perspective at the end of the day.

^That's fine. I take it as a full potential unlock, just like I do for Ultra Instinct. Don't forget, Ultra Instinct is only considered a potential unlock because Whis specifically states "He broke through his self-limiting shell into his deeper potential". I call that potential unlock, but it could so easily be described as "Oh, he just broke his limits again". That's how I feel about it at least.

I don't remember anything about Granolah's potential, it was just lowering his lifespan to grant him power.

It makes sense though, it's as if he trained his entire life, just skipping all the time he would need to spend.

Yeah. It was a Potential Unlock, but over his entire lifespan, as opposed to that very moment like it is for Goku's UI, SSJ4, Gohan's PU, Beast, and Piccolo's PU and Orange.
