Wasn’t gotenks just in base (except for the final hit of the combo) for the yo son goku returns special? The most we can make out from that is that SSJ Goku>Base Gotenks and 2 years passed since buu saga to yo Goku returns special

So this must mean that this happens after daima so they’ve had less training here than during daima. As for the DBS thing they both got no diffed but gotenks’s was just more humiliating since he got spanked hard enough to knock him back down to base. IMO it just seems unlikely that in a few months they’re just able to skyrocket to surpass buuhan’s strength in ssj3

Gotenks went Super saiyan against Aka(abo and cado fusion), and wasn't able to stop the super wahha, but goku and vegeta(who realised it's getting seriou) rush to stop it and goku destroy it with a kamehameha and one shots aka, so goku>gotenks, and that's just casual goku, daima goku growing faster isn't far fetched

IIRC, Gotenks reverted back to base as soon as he landed this attack

Gotenks only used physical attacks (toying around copying moves like rogafufuken and volleyball attack) and this attack damaged Aka. So if he used an attack like his ghosts, I think that could’ve been enough to beat aka considering how it left super buu

So what I’m getting from this is that ssj gotenks = Ssj Goku since gotenks didn’t go ssj to defend his attacks, only going super saiyan for one hit before reverting back to base. And daima is a year and a couple months BEFORE this special so this Goku has potentially more training then he does than daima goku.

1. The only time gotenks was nervous (if you can even call it that) is when he said oops while deflecting the wahahaha ball and he deflected it over to defenseless people (besides piccolo)

2. I think goku and vegeta stepped in because the wahaha balls began becoming a bit too widespread and endangered people that aren’t strong/don’t fight and as we all know gotenks doesn’t really take things seriously so it was probably just time to beat the threat before it got too serious

This is where I really have nothing to say, but it’s just weird that named physical attacks from base gotenks and a normal punch from ssj gotenks did that much to him and the big red wahaha beam we didn’t even see how gotenks reacted to that one so it just seems kind of hard to believe especially of how much stronger gotenks is in super saiyan 3 to say aka was even stronger than ssj gotenks since we never see him longer than a single punch

But yeah, personally the only way i see gotenks winning this matchup against gomah is if he’s bloodlusted and has info about the third eye and how to deactivate it

3. If he was also holding back while shooting his super wahaha balls, then he was holding back when he was defeated then. Also he didn’t have a reason to hold back so why would he when he was getting obviously beaten up with no backlash

If full power wahaha blast was out of gotenks’s league, then that would mean it would have to be over 400x his super wahaha blasts and idk if that’s true because it only had enough power to POTENTIALLY destroy earth whereas super perfect cell who is weaker than him his full power blast was stated to be able to destroy the solar system

We never even saw gotenks’s reaction to the full power wahaha because it just cuts to goku and vegeta rushing in.

But we are getting a bit off topic so I’ll just say gotenks has a shot against gomah if he’s bloodlusted and knows the weakness of the third eye or else gomah will outlast and adapt to him and beat him in the end.

The fact they did again Strongly argues against the idea gotenks could take it, as again, the whole point of them allowing gotenks to fight over them was to make the boys actually get something to challenge them. interfering for no reason clearly goes against the whole point.
