^They do, Shenron or Porunga can't do things that go beyond their creator's PL. I think more accurately is abilities, the creators don't have the same abilities as their creations.

^he Straight up got Killed By magic fire and tangzang(the guy who his master and the reason wukong even did the "journey to the west" i) literally only way of controlling him was with a magical headband , so he certainly didn't get "total magic resistance"

Pretty much, also his final trial was for him to overcome illusions ,so either way you slice it, magic and spiritual attacks can and always have affected him

So yeah, pre-nirvana wukong had weaknesses.
