Technically Wrath of the Dragon is Canon.

Ah yes, my opinion is invalid seeing as I only write fanfiction. I agree, but listen to me. At the end of the movie, Tapion gives Trunks the Z Sword. So the movie timeline is actually the future timeline, and this will cause an infinite loop in time, causing a continuity, which then causes a new, canon, timeline, in which Gohan trains, and might be the GT timeline.

Wrath of the Dragon does fit in the timeline/continuity without conflicting with anything in the main series. And Tapion going back in time at the end of the movie would create an alternate timeline/reality, which would be represented by one of the green time rings.

This does add up with some parts in Gt. In some parts of Gt you see Trunks with a sword, I think why they talk about is because non of the movies at that point was canon like the last three movies for dragon ball.
